Dinosaur Claws Classed As Hazardous By Agency

Every year, toys that are based on movies and cartoons come out for sale in local retail outlets. Children are exposed to the toys at friends’ houses and in the home when parents purchase them to play with. This year, dinosaur claws, which were inspired by the release of the movie “Jurassic World” were released. These toys just made the headlines for being hazardous, and they’re toys you may want to keep an eye out for.

According to World Against Toys Causing Harm, the dinosaur claws have made the top-10 most dangerous toys for Christmas in 2015. The argument the Toy Industry Association makes is that WATCH doesn’t test the toys, but it still makes claims about their risks. WATCH reports that although it doesn’t test the toys, each year there are toys that are recalled, and many of the toys were still on the shelves when the recalls took place.

WATCH claims that the dinosaur claws, which are made from foam, could result in children suffering facial and eye injuries. The toys, which are produced by Hasbro, are being sold in most major retailers.

In situations like this, the toys do go through substantial tests to prove their safety, but if an injury does occur, you may still be able to make a claim. The agencies in control of safety of these toys, including the United States Consumer Protection Agency, should be notified of the defect or risk that the toy caused to your child.
